Capalaba Ford Wreckers Terms - Conditions - Warranty

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Prices listed on this site are INCLUSIVE OF GST (Australian Goods and Services Tax)

  2. Prices listed on this site EXCLUDE SHIPPING / FREIGHT / POSTAGE COSTS TO CUSTOMERS. Shipping methods and costs are currently being reviewed, and until further notice, all frieght and delivery charges will be arranged with the customer via email / fax or phone. Capalaba Ford Wreckers offers a full parts & labor warranty on used mechanical parts from invoice purchase date for a period of 6 months or 25,000km standard warranty with every part (whichever comes first). Extended Warranty for 12months or 50,000km and 24 months or 100,000km (whichever comes first) are now available on request. Please ask with your Capalaba Ford Wreckers sales representative.

  3. All panels sold are rust-free and carry a lifetime rust-out warranty.

  4. Capalaba Ford Wreckers will supply free of charge all components required to rectify any authorized claims, and reserves the right to supply used components in certain circumstances.

  5. All claims must be made to Capalaba Ford Wreckers must be accompanied with this official invoice. All repairs effected without written consent will be the responsibility of the customer.

  6. Warranty is void if parts are dismantled or tampered with. Parts returned under warranty must be complete, as sold.

  7. Part returns must be received within 14 days of invoice date. A 20% handling charge will be incurred for parts "No Longer Required". Part returns must be accompanied with an official invoice. Incorrect or faulty parts returned will be at Capalaba Ford Wreckers' expense (Capalaba Ford Wreckers reserves the right to use the freight company of their choice).

  8. Capalaba Ford Wreckers cannot accept returns on specially ordered parts or cut body sections
  9. Capalaba Ford Wreckers will not be responsible for any consequential loss including hire cars, accommodation, damage, loss of income, or demurrage/down time because of the failure of the part sold or delayed part delivery.
  10. Warranty is non transferable.
  11. Capalaba Ford Wreckers will always endeavor to provide the correct part based on our customer's description. Onus is on the customer to check the part is correct at the time of delivery. If this is not possible, customer must check part is correct prior to any installation, preparation and/or painting. No compensation can be claimed by customer who fails to check part for correctness.

MAJOR MECHANICAL ITEMS - ENGINES, GEARBOXES, DIFFERENTIALS

  1. Warranty card must be completed in full and returned to Capalaba Ford Wreckers within 14 days of invoice date including speedo reading.
  2. Labor costs will not be met unless an official Repair Authority (R.A.) has been approved by Capalaba Ford Wreckers.
  3. Engines are sold as long bare. Accessories and manifolds, if fitted, are not covered by warranty and are not guaranteed to be correct for your model. Closely examine them before installation and swap parts from your original engine where necessary.
  4. Capalaba Ford Wreckers will not recognize any warranty claim where any failure or defect is caused by:
  5. Insufficient or incorrect oil and/or lubricants
  6. Overheating and/or heat tab missing
  7. Misuse, overloading, accidents or negligence
  8. Failure to carry out proper maintenance
  9. Unauthorized repairs, alterations or dismantling
  10. Improper application or installation

Note: In the event of any preliminary signs of malfunction, it is the customer's responsibility to cease operation and to immediately report the problem to Capalaba Ford Wreckers. Failure to comply with this condition may result in more serious consequential damage and void any warranty entitlement.

  1. In the event of any claim being declined, Capalaba Ford Wreckers reserves the right to recover out-of-pocket expenses incurred in transporting, dismantling and inspection, such costs to be reimbursed by the customer prior to re delivery of the part and/or collection of the vehicle.
  2. In the event of any dispute, a mutually acceptable third party opinion is to be obtained to adjudicate on claims.
    Capalaba Ford Wreckers cannot be held responsible for any implied or verbal representations.

 MAKING A CLAIM FOR MAJOR MECHANICAL ITEMS

Repair Authorization Number (R.A.) must be obtained from Capalaba Ford Wreckers prior to commencement of any repairs. No claim will be recognized without an official R.A. Number. Contact your Capalaba Ford Wreckers sales representative for an official R.A. Claim Form to be faxed to you.

It is the purchaser's responsibility to return the part freight paid.

These Terms and Conditions are clearly displayed in our sales area. This warranty is given in addition to and notwithstanding any rights the customer may have under State or Commonwealth.
